Cadillac Vistiq: yet another new electric Cadillac

Between Lyriq and Escalade IQ

Cadillac Vistiq: yet another new electric Cadillac

Parent company General Motors is rapidly filling Cadillac’s delivery range with electric models. There is now another one added. Its name sounds like a breaded piece of whitefish from Captain Iglo, but the Cadillac Vistiq is really something completely different.

Cadillac’s EV adventure started with the Lyriq electric SUV, which has now also landed in Europe. After the Lyriq, Cadillac launched the almost majestic and excruciatingly expensive Celestiq on the car scene. It didn’t stop there. Not long ago, Cadillac introduced the Escalade IQ alternative to the more traditional Escalade and a smaller SUV brother to the Lyriq that will be called Optiq. But that is not enough, according to General Motors’ reasoning. Cadillac is squeezing another electric SUV between the Lyriq and the Escalade IQ: the Vistiq.

Cadillac does not release extensive technical information. In fact, it says next to nothing about the Vistiq, other than that it will have three rows of seats and is aimed at “the modern family.” If we look at Cadillac’s conventional SUVs, the Vistiq appears to function as the electric equivalent of the XT6.

Are you excited about Cadillac’s electric models, or not at all? We are curious about your opinions!
