An average of €912 euros on an annual basis

Having a car has never really been good, but with the increased purchase prices of new and used cars, the high fuel prices and the increased surcharge on road tax, things have not gotten any better in recent times. The amount of car insurance premiums is also rising sharply.
The premium for an all-risk and liability insurance (limited hull) is currently on average about 5 percent higher than a year ago. This is reported by comparison site Autoverzekering.nl. With third-party insurance, the average increase in premium compared to a year ago is even almost ten percent. According to the comparison site, this is mainly due to inflation, but also due to high energy prices.
Comparison site Independer also notes that the premiums have increased. Menno Dijcks, Expert car insurance at Independer, says that car insurance premiums have increased by more than ten percent. Last year, according to Independer, you would have spent an average of €821 on your car insurance in the Netherlands on an annual basis. The average annual premium is now €912.
