Tesla driver still cheaper than average

The charging rates that Tesla charges for its Superchargers have doubled in a short time. This is reported by the ANWB. However, Tesla drivers are still relatively cheap.
Tesla has significantly increased the charging rates for its Superchargers since the end of 2021, the ANWB notes. On March 7, the rates were already increased by a quarter, but now you pay twice the rate that applied until the beginning of March. Although ANWB is talking about a doubling in nine months, it has gone even faster. Until March 7, a Tesla driver had lost an average of €0.28 per kWh, now that is an average of €0.57 per kWh.
For non-Tesla drivers, who can also use it, the rate for a Tesla Supercharger is now €0.66 to €0.70 per kWh. That is comparable to what you lose at Fastned, for example. Tesla drivers are therefore still cheaper than average if they fast-charge with a Supercharger. The increase in tariffs is undoubtedly related to the increased energy prices. As a result, Fastned, for example, recently increased its rates for the second time in a year.
