Chevrolet has also prepared a couple of striking cars for the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The brand includes: The Chevy Beast come to the car party where the superchargers, coilovers and spoilers are flying around you. In addition, Chevy will bring a special restomod.

We are digitally introduced to a concept car with the strange name The Chevy Beast. That promises to be something impressive and the colossus on which that name is pasted does not disappoint. The Chevy Beast is an extreme off-roader based on the Silverado. The creation apparently driven away from a film set is 5.18 meters long, has a wheelbase of 3.22 meters and has no less than 34 centimeters of ground clearance.

The Chevy Beast serves as a showcase for what Chevy Trucks, the Chevrolet pickup division, and the Chevrolet Performance division are all about. The open off-roader seats four occupants and is basically a thoroughly modified short-body Silverado. The chassis of the car has been shortened and the track width has been increased to more than 2.31 meters. The Chevy Beast has been developed to be able to hunt at high speed over bad terrain and therefore the car naturally has a heavily modified chassis. Under the hood is a 6.2 V8 with supercharger, a so-called crate engine which you can order separately from Chevrolet Performance. The block pumps 650 horsepower via a ten-speed automatic transmission to all four wheels covered with 37-inch off-road tires.

Electric hot rod

At the other end of the spectrum is the Chevrolet Project X, a hot rod owned by the American Motortrend, which has included six-cylinder and V8s in the past. The Chevrolet, bought in 1965 for 250 dollars, basically a One-Fifty two-door sedan, has been stripped of its not exactly standard 6.2 Supercharged V8 and gets a 340 hp and 447 Nm strong electric electric motor in its place. The battery pack has a capacity of 30 kWh and is being considered for inclusion in the catalog by Chevrolet Performance. Because the Chevy no longer has an exhaust system, Chevrolet saw the opportunity to lower the car by 5 centimeters. Nice detail: the Project X has the same selection buttons for the automatic transmission as the Chevrolet Corvette.
