Google has just unveiled the new version of its web browser. Google Chrome 77 now offers the ability to customize the background of the window and the color of its interface, but also to add shortcuts to your favorites directly on the home page, instead of the most popular sites. consulted.
But the real novelty of this browser update is its ability to share an open tab on one device to another with one click, as long as your Google Account is signed in.
1. Download Google Chrome 77
Start by checking if your machine has the latest version of Chrome. To do this, open the main menu, then in the Help menu, go to About Google Chrome.

If an update is available, the browser should be able to download and install it on its own. It will also display a button asking you to restart the browser to finalize the application of the update.

2. Share a tab
From Chrome Desktop
Open the website page in Chrome on your computer then click in the address bar to highlight the URL. On the far right, find the icon for a laptop and a smartphone.

Click on it and select the device you want to send the tab to.

Note that it is also possible, using a simple right-click, to obtain the Send to your devices menu and then select the device to send the tab to.

A pop-up window should appear on your computer to confirm sending the tab to another device.

Now open the device to which the tab was sent, and tap Open in the Received tab notification bar that appears.

From a smartphone
Open Chrome on your smartphone then, in the tab of the web page you want to send to another device, open the Chrome main menu and tap Share then Send to your devices.

Then select the device to which you want to send the web page. A notification should be sent there. Open this to display the tab you just shared in Chrome desktop.
