Citroën C4 cheaper thanks to new entry-level vehicle

Citroën is putting a new entry-level version on the price list of the new C4. The new Citroën C4 will also be available from May with a new 100 hp petrol engine, which gives the eccentric crossover a lower starting price.

To date, Citroën only supplied the new C4 with the 130 hp PureTech 130 petrol engine, a machine that had the Feel version as the most basic version. Citroën is now also bringing a 100 hp PureTech petrol engine to the C4, an engine that can also be combined with a new base version: Live.

The new 100 hp petrol engine is a 1.2, just like the 130 hp variant. The block delivers 205 Nm and, unlike its more powerful brothers, is only available in combination with a manual six-speed gearbox. This means that the Citroën C4 has a speed of 100 km / h on the clock in 10.9 counts. Its top speed: 185 km / h. The Citroën C4 Puretech 100 has a starting price of € 23,990. That amount is for the said new entry-level Live version, a version reserved for the new entry-level engine.

The Live is not an extremely bare basic version, by the way. Citroën gives it air conditioning as standard, a 5-inch display in the instrument panel, a 10-inch large multimedia system that also supports Apple CarPlay and also its electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirrors along with air conditioning as standard. Active Safety Brake, an active lane assistant, pedestrian detection and traffic sign recognition are also part of the Live party.

The Citroën C4 with the new PureTech 100 petrol engine will also be available from the summer in combination with the Feel version. For this C4 in this configuration, Citroën asks a price of € 26,490. Citroën also put the C4 with 110 hp BlueHDi diesel engine in Business Plus trim on the order list in the summer. This variant has a starting price of € 29,640. The Citroën C4 PureTech 130 has a new starting price of € 27,990. The C4 was already available with a 130 hp BlueHDi.
