More choice for quirky crossover
The Citroën C4 X is only available in the Netherlands as an electric ë-C4 X. But that changes. The idiosyncratically designed crossover with sedan butt will soon also be available in the Netherlands with petrol engines, AutoWeek can report exclusively.
The Citroën C4 X is also available with combustion engines outside the Netherlands, but would only be in the showroom as an electric ë-C4 X in the Netherlands. A striking choice, since the sister model C4 in our country can be ordered with both combustion engines and an electric powertrain. Citroën now draws the C4 X more in line with the C4 and will now appear on the Dutch price list with petrol engines.
The delivery range of the C4 X will soon have two petrol versions. You can choose from a 100 hp 1.2 PureTech petrol engine and a more powerful 130 hp three-cylinder. The 100 hp 1.2 PureTech is always linked to a manual six-speed gearbox and only comes to our country as a ‘Feel’. The 130 hp 1.2 PureTech is still linked to the well-known eight-speed automatic transmission. With the C4-without-X, that power source can also be ordered in combination with a manual six-speed gearbox, so the C4 X differs from the C4. Furthermore, unlike the C4, the C4 X does not seem to be available with the 130-hp BlueHDi diesel engine. The Citroën C4 X with 130 hp PureTech and automatic transmission comes to the Netherlands as a Feel Pack and as a Shine.
The fiscal starting price of the Citroën C4 X Feel with a 100 hp petrol engine is €31,660. Added to that are the roadworthiness costs. Count on a starting price of €32,560 at the bottom of the line. The fiscal prices of the Citroën C4 X Feel Pack and Shine with the 130 hp 1.2 PureTech and eight-speed automatic transmission are €35,420 and €37,710 respectively. Count on one all inclusive price of €35,320 for the C4 X Feel Pack and €38,610 for the C4 X Shine.
