If you’re busy with Instagram on a daily basis, your search history is probably full of weird terms. If you want to get rid of that, you can delete your search history in four easy steps.
Delete Instagram searches
Avid users of the photo app will likely regularly use the search function to search profiles, places or tags. If you later want to find those searched terms, it can be useful to consult your Instagram search history. However, you also run the risk that others can see that search history. Just lend your phone to a friend and he or she will immediately see what you’ve been looking for lately.
Fortunately, you can easily delete your Instagram search history from the iPhone app. You only have to follow the four steps below.
- Open the Instagram app on your phone and press the Profile button at the bottom right;
- Then press the gear at the top right to open the settings;
- Scroll all the way down to find the option ‘Clear search history’;
- In the window that appears, select ‘Yes, I’m sure’ to confirm your choice.
Note: once you have cleared your search history, there is no way to get it back. So only do it if you are sure that you actually want to delete your saved searches.
