The Honor 70 has been announced in Europe and it is also for sale in the Netherlands from today. The middle class has a striking design with very small screen edges and is available for 549 euros.
Honor 70
There have been signs of Honor’s return since early this year, but now it’s official. First of all, the Honor 70 has a design that catches the eye. Its screen-to-body ratio is 90.8 percent, and the Honor 70 has extra fine screen edges.
The phone has a relatively large 6.67 inch OLED panel with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The panel should display nice animations with its 120Hz refresh rate and it also supports HDR10+ video content in streaming apps.
New Sony main camera
On the back we see two round camera islands. The main camera is Sony’s new 1/1.49-inch IMX800. A 54 MP sensor, which on the Honor 70 is assisted by a 50 MP wide-angle camera. The third lens is a depth camera, and on the front you can find a 32 MP sensor.
The phone also has a range of its own camera features. For example, with ‘Person Temporal Tracking’, users can create portrait vlogs that highlight a specific person or object in a group video. This technology automatically follows the person across the entire frame, and the spotlight will automatically return when the person or object leaves the frame during shooting. Thanks to the Seamless Focus Switch, the spotlight can easily be moved to another person or object.
Honor uses a typical midrange processor with the Snapdragon 778G+ – the chipset that we know from the Nothing Phone (1) and the Motorola Edge 30, among other things. and the phone appears with us in two storage variants: 8 / 128 GB and 8 / 256 GB. The battery of the Honor 70 is a 4800 mAh one, which is charged with a 66W fast charger.
Honor’s comeback
Honor has disappeared from the Netherlands and Belgium in recent years after its parent company Huawei was hit hard by trade sanctions from the United States. Like Huawei, Honor was unable to release phones with the Play Store for a while, until the brand was eventually disconnected from Huawei.
Honor then took a new start in China, and it already launched a foldable phone with the Magic V. Due to strong sales in its home country, the brand can now make a comeback in the Netherlands and Belgium. Honor has always been known for its strong value for money and has focused on young people in particular.
