Bad news again for fans of classic car shows. The Dutch Concours d’Elegance will not take place this year. That is what the organization announces according to BNR.
Unfortunately, the Concours d’Elegance will not take place this year, BNR Nieuwsradio reports on the basis of a statement from the organizer. The classic festival would take place for the second time this year on the grounds of Paleis Soestdijk in Baarn. In the past Paleis het Loo in Apeldoorn was the setting for the usually busy summer competition. Obviously, the reason for the cancellation is the corona crisis: “It is just very difficult to get a permit and you still want to make it a nice car party. There are so many difficulties that we do not like it,” says the organizer .
It was previously announced that the festival was moved to the third week of September due to the corona measures. The competition was originally scheduled for the end of August. According to the organization, the intention is to simply continue in late August next year. Techzle was also there in previous editions in Apeldoorn.
