We have bad news for everyone who is eagerly awaiting the new Leon Cupra and whose hearts jumped at the sight of this headline, as Cupra initially only uses the brand new Leon for the circuit. On February 20, the fourth generation of the Spanish middle class will be presented as a TCR racer. Cupra uses “Leon Competición” as a model name for the extremist. After a shadowy teaser, now follow photos of a camouflaged Leon TCR who is introduced to the Portuguese circuit of Portimao.
The recipe for the car is clear: the Leon is being considerably broadened. About specifications, the Spaniards are keeping their lips tight. To speed up the development process, the developers have made professional use of 3D printers. Cupra had the central control module on the steering wheel, the ventilation opening in the hood and the exterior mirrors “print”.
Cupra presents the new TCR racer on February 20. Delivery starts just two months later.
