In the market for an electric Mercedes-Benz that is high on its feet? Then from now on you have the choice of one less model. The Mercedes-Benz EQC has left with a silent drum. But don’t worry, there’s a new one in the barrel.
A model has disappeared from the Mercedes-Benz electric range. The Mercedes-Benz EQC is no longer available. The Dutch importer confirms to AutoWeek that production of the EQC has stopped in the second quarter of this year. This means that after about four years it is over and done for the electric equivalent of the GLC.
The Mercedes-Benz EQC appeared on the Dutch market in 2019. In total, just under 1,500 copies have been registered in our country. The EQC, based on the previous Mercedes-Benz GLC, was only available as an EQC 400 4Matic and had an 80 kWh battery pack and two electric motors with a total of 408 hp. Its range was about 400 kilometers.
Will autoland have to do without EQC for a long time? Probably not. Undoubtedly, Mercedes-Benz has a successor in the pipeline. We do not expect the market introduction of this new electric SUV – a competitor to cars such as the (next) BMW iX3 – before 2024.
The EV range from Mercedes-Benz now consists of the EQA, EQB, EQE, EQE SUV, EQS and EQS SUV. There is also the EQV and that electric variant of the V-class will eventually be joined by a more compact electric space giant: the EQT.
