Do you not like the background of Office, because it is, for example, too faded? Customize the theme of Office.
Choose theme Office programs
The white background of Office programs can be annoying. Is there a 3 or an 8 in the Excel document? And why does that background stay so bright when your surroundings are dark? Sometimes a little more contrast is nice. Fortunately, you can easily set this up yourself. Customize the theme and give Office programs a colorful, black, or dark gray look.
- Start an Office program such as Word.
- Open an (empty) document.
- click on File > Account.
- Under “Office Theme,” click the drop-down menu.
- Click on a theme: colorful, dark gray, black or white. Black is useful for people with visual impairments, because there is more contrast between the document, the background and the Ribbon.
- The result can be seen immediately. Click the left arrow at the top left to go back to the Word document.
