Dacia Sandrider

The Dacia Duster is no longer the most adventurous or rugged Dacia around. Meet the Dacia Sandrider, a fierce monster that – unfortunately for those who are crazy about it – you will never be able to buy.

The Dacia Sandrider is not a production model, but an off-road monster with which the brand will participate in the World Rally-Raid Championship in 2025. Part of this is the illustrious Dakar Rally. Does the appearance of the Sandrider look somewhat familiar to you? That may well be true. The appearance of the Sandrider is strongly inspired by that of the Dacia Manifesto Concept from a few years ago.

The Sandrider has a drivetrain that Dacia has never used in a production model. The adventurer has a 3.0 V6 with two turbos, a machine that produces 360 hp and 539 Nm. The six-cylinder runs on synthetic fuel from Aramco. The Dacia Sandrider is built around a tubular frame, has a six-speed sequential gearbox, is 4.14 meters wide and a generous 2.29 meters wide. Its wheelbase: 3 meters. Thanks to its 35 centimeters long suspension travel, four-wheel drive and 37-inch off-road tires from GF Goodrich, no mountain or sand dune should be too high for the Dacia Sandrider. The body parts are made of carbon fiber.

Will you ever see any of this on public roads? No, but the Dacia Sandrider is the roughest Dacia the brand has ever made.
