Dacia Sandero in the picture again

Renault again shows something of the upcoming, all-new Dacia Sandero. This time it is about the headlights and rear lights of the newcomer.

A budget car must also keep up with the times, so Dacia thinks that after eight years it has been enough for the second generation of its sandero. The new Dacia Sandero seems to stay true to the well-known recipe, but gets a somewhat bolder-lined carriage.

The car was previously fully visible on a darkened plate, but today we get the chance to study the headlights and rear lights in daylight. The pinched light units at the front are – at least in the dressed version shown – with a striking LED strip that cuts through the light unit. The Y-shaped strip is a bit reminiscent of what Volvo applies to all its models. There seems to be a chance that the dipped beam will also be built up from LEDs, which in our opinion relieves this technology from its function as a luxury good.

A striking light profile can also be seen at the rear. A set of sharp angles form the light signature here, a design phenomenon for which Dacia picked up its Romanian nose not so long ago. The rear lights are a bit more squeezed than the copies of the current Sandero.

Dacia Sandero Logan teaser

The new Dacia Sandero is again a five-door hatchback and will appear on the scene in both a regular and a raised Sandero Stepway trim. Undoubtedly, the new Sandero will also affect the Logan MCV and the Logan sedan not available here. However, it is not yet certain whether the station wagon version will also enter a new generation. It may also be the case that Dacia is scrapping the model as a whole, because the SUV is also slowly but surely winning over the station wagon at the bottom of the market. In that case, Logan buyers should resort to the Duster in the future.

The above images were cut from a teaser video from Groupe Renault’s Twitter channel. Who wants to see the original, can go there. It also becomes clear from the video that the final unveiling of the new Sandero is scheduled for next Monday.
