Don’t want sites to keep your data? Then delete the placed cookies via the smartphone or tablet.
Throw away cookies?
Websites have various reasons for placing cookies on the PC, smartphones and tablets. For example, to show personalized advertisements on other sites you visit or social media. Delete the cookies if you do not want that. Do this in the internet browser.
Deleting cookies in Chrome
- Open the app Chrome.
- Select the icon with the three dots at the bottom right.
- Tap on Institutions > Privacy > Clear browsing data.
- Tap on Cookies and Site Data if there is no check mark yet.
- If necessary, select at the top behind ‘Period’ or ‘Time range’ from which moment you want to delete the cookies, for example Everything.
- Tap on Clear browsing data > Clear browsing data or Delete information > To clear.
- Tap at the top right if necessary Ready.
Deleting cookies in Edge
- Open the app edge.
- Tap the icon with the three dots at the bottom.
- Tap on Institutions > Privacyand security > Clear browsing data.
- Tap on Cookies and Site Data if there is no check mark yet.
- Tap on Clear browsing data > To clear or To clear > To clear.
Delete cookies in Safari (iOS)
- Tap the app Institutions > Safari.
- Swipe down and tap Clear history and website data.
- Tap on Clear history and data or Erase.
Deleting cookies in the Internet (Android)
How to delete the cookies in the Internet app (from Android 8.0):
- Tap the app internet.
- Tap the icon with three bars or More.
- Tap on Institutions.
- Tap on Privacy and Security or Privacy.
- Select Delete Search Data, Delete Personal Data or Clear all cookie data > OK
- Put a check in front of it Cookies and site data
- Tap on remove.
Delete cookies in Firefox (iOS)
- Open the app Firefox.
- Tap the icon with the three bars at the bottom right.
- Tap on Institutions > Data management.
- Tap the slide behind ‘Cookies’ if it is still gray. The slider turns blue.
- Tap at the bottom Clear private data > OK.
Deleting cookies in Firefox (Android)
- Open the app Firefox.
- Tap the icon with the three bars in the top right.
- Tap on Institutions > Clear private data.
- Put a tick in front of Cookies & active logins.
- Tap at the bottom Delete information.
