Delivery stop Volkswagen Golf 8

Due to a software problem, copies of the Volkswagen Golf are temporarily not sent to customers. So, if you have a delivery appointment for a new eighth generation of the model in the short term, you still have to be patient.

Volkswagen explains that this is a problem with the so-called Online Connectivity Unit, or OCU for short. This normally ensures that the car automatically calls the emergency services in the event of an accident, but would not always function as desired in the new Golf.

A solution is being worked on for a software update, but until there is no new Golfs delivered. Anyone who already has a Golf 8 in the driveway will soon be informed about the possible solution. The importer cannot yet say whether it consists of a service action to be carried out during a regular service or a real recall.
