For a long time, electric cars were often hatchbacks, SUVs or stretched sedans or liftbacks. However, the number of electric station wagons is increasing. Again. We can provide you with not one, but even two electric pack mules.

The speed at which new and often electric models are introduced in China knows no bounds. In an almost literal sense, as more and more Chinese EVs are also coming to Europe. For example, Neta has plans to sell its products in Europe and it is that brand that has presented a brand new electric station wagon. The equally Chinese Denza also has an electric station wagon behind the scenes and that brand also has European ambitions. AutoWeek has unearthed the first photos and the first information of both newcomers from the database of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

The Chinese Hozon Auto indicated last year that it had advanced plans to target the European car market with models from its car brand Neta. Neta has a fairly extensive range of models for a small and relatively young manufacturer. Its range includes the Neta S, an electric sedan that also comes in a version with a range extender. It is that Neta S of which we can now show you the station brother. The Neta S ‘Wagon’ – as we call it – is 4.98 meters long and, like its sedan brother, has a wheelbase of 2.98 meters. In any case, there will be a 272 hp rear-wheel drive version and a variant that has a 231 hp powerful copy on the front axle. Just like the Neta S Sedan, the station version is also available in a variant with a range extender. In this case that is a 1.5 petrol engine.

The second newcomer is from Denza. Denza is a brand of the giant BYD, a Chinese manufacturer that is already active in Europe and that also has plans to bring Denza our way. Denza has an electric station wagon in the maternity rooms that goes by the name Z9 GT. The Denza Z9 GT is a bit bigger than the Neta S ‘Wagon’. It extends over a distance of 5.18 meters. No less than 3.13 meters of this is located between the front and rear axles. The Denza Z9 GT on these plates is seriously motorized. It has three electric motors. Two copies, each delivering 326 hp and a 231 hp powerful unit on the front axle. The Z9 GT – which has a top speed of 240 km/h – is certainly not a lightweight at 2,875 kilos.
