Have you ever been to an American supermarket? The hundreds of types of cornflakes and the thousand different chips will drive you crazy. The new Range Rover SV is such an American supermarket. You linger in his aisles for hours. Because do you want that option of the 1.6 million, or the other one?
Whoops, Auto Review! You can’t compare a Range Rover to a supermarket. The great British luxury SUV is a specialist boutique with a huge selection of top products. Land Rover estimates that the new Range Rover SV has a staggering 1.6 million in stock. Options, we mean.
Range Rover SV built by Special Vehicle Operations
SV stands for Special Vehicle Operations. This Range Rover is therefore partly built by Land Rover’s personalization department. You can recognize it by its slightly different stylized front, but also by the special colors and materials used in the car.
Vegan learning alternatives? That’s just plastic
The cars in the photos may not be to your taste, but they do show you what is possible: beautiful wood veneer, interior details made of real ceramics, even better leather, vegan leather alternatives (just plastic) and much more. Not to mention the exterior, with its wide selection of alloy wheels (up to 23 inches) and colors.
New Range Rover with short or long wheelbase
The new Range Rover is available in two versions: short and long wheelbase. A new feature is that the latter can now also be ordered as a seven-seater with a third row of seats. The Range Rover SWB has become 5 centimeters longer than before and now measures 5.05 meters. The LWB grew by the same number of centimeters and thus amounts to 5.25 meters.
Wait until 2024 for the all-electric Range Rover
There will be an electric Range Rover for the first time. We have to wait until 2024 for that. For now, fuel versions and hybrids are available. You can choose from a 3.0-litre turbo diesel with 249, 300 or 350 hp, a 3.0-litre petrol V6 with 400 hp and a 4.4-liter V8 with 530 hp. Two plug-in hybrids are also available, with 440 and 510 horsepower.
