OnePlus has published a creative video showing a reinterpreted Palace of Justice in Brussels. The video shows what the courthouse would look like if it were completed today.
OnePlus has published a video showing a contemporary perspective on the imposing Palace of Justice in Brussels, which has been under construction for 40 years. It’s been redesigned using the OnePlus Nord 4, the only 5G smartphone with a unibody metal body. Check out the video of the reinterpreted Palace of Justice in Brussels here.
Iconic courthouse with metal structures
The Brussels Palace of Justice has been renovated for more than 40 years. In the meantime, generations have been born who have never seen the palace without its scaffolding. The scaffolding had also been there for so long that it had to be repaired itself. With the help of the OnePlus Nord 4, the remarkable result of a digitally completed courthouse that will last for many years to come has now been achieved. This is made possible by the strong aluminum housing, which is more resistant to scratches and fall damage than a glass housing.

Striking design
The creative idea for the video came about not only due to technological developments, but also due to the fact that the OnePlus Nord 4 has a modern design. For example, the back of the Mercurial Silver variant has 2D laser markings, which creates a striking effect when the sun shines on it. This effect was used as a starting point to reshape the iconic building. It offers a contemporary perspective on the Palace of Justice if it were completed today. With this, the brand hopes to bridge the gap between the past and the future, from the splendor of the centuries-old Palace of Justice to the aesthetics of contemporary smartphones.
Metal and antennas
While many phones used to be made of metal, the arrival of 5G meant smartphones needed more antennas. This forced technology brands to create a construction that contained less metal and more glass. Metal brings enormous benefits and is the reason for OnePlus to create the OnePlus Nord 4.
During the development of the OnePlus Nord 4, OnePlus designed several technological innovations, from compact 5G antennas that are over 50% smaller than before to a redesigned motherboard to send and receive signals clearly.
