The European market is a new electric model richer. A relatively cheap EV even. This is the FreZe Nikrob EV. It’s basically a modified version of a Chinese city EV, albeit one that none other than the Lithuanian-based, ever-extravagant Dartz Motorz Company has gotten involved.
We know Dartz Motorz Company as a manufacturer of extremely extravagant SUVs, which caused some controversy when it turned out that the company supplied its outspoken Prombron with whale penis leather, among other things. Dartz rarely takes itself seriously, to say the least, making it a refreshing, and controversial, car manufacturer. The Lithuanians do not miss any marketing moment to put forward something special. ‘Bullet-resistant opulent cars, trusted by billionaires, Tzars, superstars, generals and dictators’. We once dedicated a Press Plate to Dartz, who says enough about the crazy managers who are in charge. The latest model with which Dartz is involved is the FreZe Nikrob EV. A miniscule city EV with a familiar base.
The FreZe Nikrob EV is in fact a Hongguang Mini EV from the Chinese manufacturer Wuling, but one that goes into production in a slightly modified form. The specifications, according to its creators, are almost identical to those of the original. This means that the FreZe Nikrob EV in principle has a 9.2 kWh battery pack with a NEDC range of 120 kilometers. The 2.92 meter short EV, which is 22 centimeters shorter than a Smart ForTwo, is also available with a 13.8 kWh battery pack that enables a range of 170 kilometers. The Let has a 17 hp electric motor that gives the cart a top speed of 100 km / h. The FreZe Nikrob EV has a starting price of € 9,999, according to its creators. More about that later.

Dartz does not release extensive information on its channels, so we asked Dartz founder Leonard F. Yankelovich for an explanation. This results in a set of beautifully formulated sentences entirely according to Dartz style. According to Yankelovich, the FreZe Nikrob EV is emphatically not used as Dartz. In fact, the car itself will not produce. “Let’s just say Dartz is the ideological father of the FreZe Nikrob EV. The whole production process of this epic car is done through our Latvian partner Nirkob UAB. We consciously make a strong distinction between the products of Dartz and this FreZe Nikrob EV. Just like nobody needs to know that a Bentley Bentayga is a relative of the Shkoda Yetti. We are family members, but we live separately from each other, ”said the outspoken Dartz founder.

According to Dartz, the name of the extremely compact EV is a reference to Pyotr Freze, a Russian entrepreneur who screwed together his first car in 1896 and thus the first Russian car ever. The FreZe Nikrob – in these photos also covered with a somewhat communist-looking sticker sheet – according to Yankelovich, comes on the market in four flavors, which, like the products of Dartz, are of course not just any kind of performance. The € 9,999 basic version with space for four people, and therefore with a back seat, gets the FreZe Nikrob Urban Pony with identical pricing next to it, a two-seater that has to do without a back seat. Then we come to the FreZe Nikrob Urban Snob, yes. The Urban Snob version is, according to its creators, aimed at “green people” and optionally includes interior trim made of leaves. Really. Although leather is also an option. This variant, which costs € 14,999, is also available with “a kind of off-road wheels”. The splendor really comes to the fore with the FreZe Nikrob The Dictator Aladeen Signature Edition. This edition is named after the character that Sacha Baron Cohen plays in the movie The Dictator as the leader of the fictional republic of Wadiya. Anyone who has not yet sobbed under the table with laughter should read on. “Few people know it’s the dream The Dictator Aladeen was to one cheap as hell EV to market. A marriage threw a spanner in the works, but the Wadiya Secretary of Transportation is keen to continue with that decade-old plan. ”These The Dictator Aladeen Signature Editions get gold-colored paint, complete with gold badges and signatures from The Dictator’s security driver Igor ‘Sniper’ Ristolainen. “What does this version cost? I’ll have to ask the General Admiral about that, “Yankelovich jokes.
What if you want to order a FreZe Nikrob EV as a Dutch person? In the long term, that should be possible, although we are still aiming at selling small numbers. “Exporting the Nikrob EV to various European countries is one of our goals. In the Netherlands it will of course be practically free”, says Yankelovich, referring to the purchase subsidy of € 4,000 for EVs with a purchase price of up to € 45,000. “In any case, we have a lot of ideas. Every car seller costs money, so the sale will of course take place digitally. Using the car as a shared car is of course also an option,” said Yankelovich.
