The smart brand is almost always directly associated with the small, agile smart Fortwo. As the name suggests: a car for two. With that model, smart started in the 1990s and electrification has already started with that model. Now smart goes one step further. A big step.
Meet the smart #1 and the smart #3, which are just as quirky and well thought out in terms of design as the first smart, but with a beautiful and large interior, rich standard equipment and a large range.
This is how great the SUV smart #1 and the SUV Coupé smart #3 are:
- Spacious interior
- Electric range up to 455 kilometers
- Premium finish with high-quality materials
- Award-winning design and interior by Mercedes-Benz
- Up to 1,600 kg towing capacity
- Choice of rear or four-wheel drive
- Five versions, easy to personalize
- smart #1 from €37,395, €2,950 purchase subsidy possible
- smart #3 from €38,395, €2,950 purchase subsidy possible
Designed and developed with Mercedes-Benz
Get behind the wheel of the smart #1 or #3 and you will experience not only the space, but also the strikingly beautiful materials and the playful design. The feeling of space is enhanced by the panoramic roof, which is standard on all versions. The smart #1 was designed and developed in close collaboration with Mercedes-Benz and it shows. This is reflected in the high-quality materials, the beautiful design, the good ergonomics and the attention to detail. Together with the rich equipment, this places the smart #1 at a premium level.
Shining example
The smart #1 is immediately recognizable as a smart and that is due to its youthful appearance. An important aspect of the design is the lighting, both inside and outside. The headlights are equipped with intelligent LED technology, so that you have an optimal light beam under all circumstances without hindering other traffic. The illuminated grille and the continuous light bar between the rear lights welcome you every time you approach the car. In the interior, the ambient lighting with a choice of 64 colors and 20 lighting levels creates a warm and comfortable atmosphere.

Very complete, also with safety systems
When you say premium, you can expect complete equipment, which the smart #1 and smart #3 have, so there is actually no basic version. Every smart #1 and #3 has, among other things, smart pilot assist, automatic climate control, a panoramic roof, electrically adjustable front seats, extra dark rear window and rear side windows, an electrically operated tailgate and a 12.8-inch large screen for the infotainment system with DAB tuner. And it goes without saying that these two smart models have all available safety and assistance systems, regardless of the version you choose.
Say hello to the Hello smart app
The connectivity of the new smart #1 and #3 means that you can unlock the doors with your smartphone and you no longer need a key to drive away. In combination with the Hello smart app, you can control and monitor all kinds of things remotely. Such as the charging status, the exact location of your smart and you can already turn on the heating or air conditioning. The system updates are ‘over the air’ (OTA), so you do not have to visit the workshop or download software on your computer.
