83 percent on top

Donkervoort is now also officially active in Israel. So you can also order a Dutch sports car there and have it serviced, although that was secretly the case for a while.
What the step to Israel means for Donkervoort in concrete terms remains to be seen. There was already a recognized service point in Israel – Auto Italia in Petach Tikwa – and you can order a Donkervoort anywhere in the world, directly from the factory. Nothing seems to change in that situation, so we have asked Lelystad for concrete changes. We are still waiting for the answer, but also chauvinistic enough to share the news with you.
The car in the photos belongs to Sasha Goryunov, who is single-handedly responsible for most of the Donkervoorts present in Israel. Judging by his Instagram page and Donkervoort himself, Goryunov is more of a fan than a customer and recently added this GTO-JD70 in dark red carbon to his collection. At least one F22 has already been sold on the right side of the Mediterranean, and we dare to guess to whom. Donkervoort would of course like to expand the customer base there. An important hurdle is that Israel maintains a rather hefty purchase tax. For cars with a petrol engine, it stands at no less than 83 percent, a percentage that we even found to be pulling away from in the Netherlands. However, Donkervoort looks on the bright side: “This means that Israeli car enthusiasts are extremely committed to their passion.” Again true.
