The Tour de France will start on Saturday June 26 in Brest and finish on July 18 on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. To stay informed of all the news and current results and standings, we have listed four handy apps for you.
1. Official Tour de France app
The official Tour de France app provides all the most important information regarding stages and riders prior to the Tour. The route can be seen per stage and it is also shown in Google Maps. In addition, a timetable for the stage is available, background information about the start and finish place and an overview of all teams and riders participating in this year’s Tour de France. When the Tour de France has started, you will be able to find all current results and standings in the app. The official Tour de France app can be used on both android– if iOS devices and is free.
2. Tour Tracker Grand Tours
With this app (iOS) you can follow the stages closely and all classifications are accurately maintained for you. The route of the stage is shown on a map. You will also find an overview of all riders per team and of all stages of this year.
3. Eurosport
Eurosport also has an app that allows you to keep up to date with the results of the Tour. The Eurosport app is in English, but also very easy to operate and provides up-to-date information regarding a large number of sports. You can find the ‘Cycling’ section by pressing the three lines at the top left of the app and under ‘Sports’ you will see ‘Cycling’. Here the app provides all the latest cycling news and you can also be kept informed of the results in the different rounds. In addition, Eurosport also places current videos in the app. To stay fully informed, you can also turn on alerts (notifications) per sport, competition or even teams. By turning on the notification for the Tour de France, the app will keep you informed of the results. The Eurosport app can be used on both Android and iOS devices.
4. NOS
If you do not have a television nearby, you can also follow the Tour at the NOS via the (mobile) site or via the free app for iPhone, iPad, and Android. Within the app you can find a stream that sends you to the live broadcast of the NOS and you can follow the Tour live. In the app you can also find all the news, information and videos related to cycling here by pressing the three bars in the top left. In the NOS app, tap ‘Change’ and then ‘Cycling’. The NOS also keeps you informed of the current results and standings. The NOS app is free.
