DS 4 successor will be released early 2021

DS is working on a successor to the DS 4 and now it is known when we can expect it. However, there is still quite a while between the unveiling and the market launch.

Roughly two months ago, the new DS 4 showed up camouflaged for the last time. Now Techzle can also report when the next DS 4 will arrive. The unveiling of the compact Frenchman is planned for February 2021. Two months later, in April, we hear from DS what it will cost. The car is still internally referred to as D41, but you can bet that it simply carries the familiar name again. It is also expected that both a regular and a more adventurous Crossback version will appear. According to the current planning, anyone in the market for the DS 4 will have to wait until November 2021 before the car is in the showroom.

The new DS 4 (Crossback) is a lot more idiosyncratic than the previous generation that was abandoned two years ago. After all, it still saw the light of day as Citroën, but the upcoming DS 4 is a completely unique model. So expect a similar design language as we already know from the DS 7 Crossback and the DS 9. The DS 4 shares its basis with the upcoming Peugeot 308 and Opel Astra. Given the current technical developments at the Groupe PSA, a plug-in hybrid DS 4 is undoubtedly present. A fully electric variant will most likely also not be missing.
