“Ride to FIM Awards – the Future of Motorcycling” are four events, leading from the beginning of September to the FIM Awards on December 3 in Rimini, where more than forty riders from the different disciplines will be honored.

The third stage took place at the Ducati Museum, where a roundtable entitled “The Future: Sustainability and Motorcycling” was held, aiming to create a moment of discussion and in-depth analysis on issues related to the future of motorcycling.

The discussion included the energy transition, the sustainability policy that contributes to respect for the environment and the development of alternative energies for an increasingly sustainable motorsport.

The event was opened by Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati, together with Giovanni Copioli, FMI President and Stefano Bonaccini, President of the Emilia-Romagna Region. Jorge Viegas, President of the FIM, kicked off the discussion panel, which saw interventions and reflections from leading industry experts from the FIM, the FMI, the academic and research community and the motorcycle industry.

A meeting that demonstrated the spirit of cohesion and the common intention to promote the development of motorcycling in a direction that focuses on respect for the environment and the territory. Ducati took the opportunity to present the “V21L” prototype, Ducati’s first electric motorcycle that will compete in the FIM MotoE World Cup from 2023 onwards.
