As the latest news for 2025, Ducati has unveiled the limited Panigale V4 Tricolore, a tribute to Made in Italy and Ducati history. The Panigale V4 Tricolore is produced in a limited edition of 1,000 units and is equipped with exclusive parts, such as carbon wheels, a dry clutch and a racing braking system with 338.5 mm brake discs.
The new asymmetrical livery of the Panigale V4 Tricolore, designed by Aldo Drudi in consultation with the Centro Stile Ducati, is a modern reinterpretation of the livery of the 1984 750 F1, the bike that formed the basis of modern sports bikes from Borgo exactly 40 years ago. Panigale stood. In the years since, the Tricolore livery has been reserved for the most prestigious version of the different generations of Ducati Superbikes, since the very first 851 Desmoquattro in 1988.
The Panigale V4 Tricolore is the latest news of 2024, which has been an incredible year for Ducati. For the third time in a row, Ducati has won all three MotoGP world titles (riders’, constructors’ and teams’ titles), with nineteen victories from twenty Grand Prix. In addition, the constructors’ world title in Superbike, the riders’ title in the Supersport World Championship and the Italian title on the debut with the 450 MX in Italian Motocross.
There were also many national victories, including the Italian Superbike and the American Superbike, which marked Ducati’s return to victory in the US after 30 years. And last but not least, the historic successes in the Japanese Superbike Championship of the Kagayama team’s Panigale V4.
The exclusive motorcycle was unveiled to the public during an off-site event, organized in collaboration with partner Eataly, as part of Art Basel week in Miami Beach, the overseas edition of the Old Continent’s most prestigious art fair. This is a context in which Ducati now feels at home, having participated for the third time.
This world premiere was attended by Vice President Global Sales Francesco Milicia and Director Strategy & Style Center Andrea Ferraresi, who said: “In Miami and at Art Basel in particular we feel at home. Ducati is the only motorcycle brand that not only combines advanced technology and sensual beauty, but also breaks the typical schemes of sports colors to create works of art, using the motorcycle as a canvas.”
The Panigale V4 Tricolore is based on the Panigale V4, which was completely renewed for 2025. The white, red and green livery, offered for the first time in an asymmetrical version on the bike, celebrates the colors of the Italian flag by combining them with the black and white of the checkered flag, the symbol of victory, on the lower part of the tub. The number plates with the number one, on the front and on the sides of the fairing, are reminiscent of those of the sportiest and most refined Ducatis, such as the Panigale V4 R or the Multistrada Pikes Peak.
A livery that emphasizes the aerodynamic surfaces of the motorcycle, with sleeker lines that emphasize the change in style that, with the Panigale V4 2025, marked the transition from the sixth to the seventh generation of Ducati Superbikes. As mentioned, the basis of the Panigale V4 Tricolore is the new V4 that was presented last July during the World Ducati Week, with a completely revised chassis and innovative electronic solutions such as the Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) and the Race eCBS.
For the first time in Ducati’s history, a Tricolore has been enriched with parts that should improve performance on the track, making this motorcycle even more unique. The Panigale V4 Tricolore is equipped with five-spoke carbon wheels that reduce weight by 0.950 kg compared to the forged rims of the Panigale V4 S, reducing the moment of inertia by 12% at the front and 19% at the rear. And you will certainly notice this when switching from one ear to the other, which will be significantly easier.
The new Panigale V4 Tricolore is the first production motorcycle in the world to be equipped with the Front Brake Pro braking system at the front, consisting of two Brembo T-Drive discs with blades with a diameter of 338.5 mm and a thickness of 6, 2mm, which increase braking power and consistency of performance.
Tested by Ducati Factory Riders in the 2024 Race of Champions, these discs are derived from the racing discs mounted in the Superbike World Championship on the most demanding circuits and are mated to Hypure brake calipers. The brake calipers have a titanium anodization treatment and an oversized Brembo logo. Finally, the front brake pump is an MCS 19.21 with remote brake lever position adjustment, as is also the case in MotoGP and Superbike.
The special equipment of the Tricolore is completed by a dry clutch, adjustable footrests made of solid aluminum and a GPS module. Those who want to use the Panigale V4 Tricolore on the track also have access to a racing fuel cap made of solid aluminum, carbon airducts for the brake calipers and an open clutch cover, and a kit for removing the license plate holder, all included as standard. And then there is the Alcantara saddle, the racing plexiglass window and the special animation of the dashboard when switching on.
Naturally, each Tricolore is equipped with a unique upper triple clamp, milled from solid aluminum, in which the name and unique serial number of the model are engraved. The motorcycle comes with a certificate of authenticity and a special motorcycle cover, which are delivered in a special personalized box to match the color scheme. The model number is also located on the aluminum plate of the ignition key.
Finally, the unique character of the Tricolor is enhanced by the option, reserved for owners, to complete their look with a limited edition helmet and jacket with a color scheme that matches that of the motorcycle.
