Ducati Streetfighter V2 now also in Storm Green

Good news for fans of the Streetfighter V2 who are a bit fed up with the color red. Ducati has expanded the color palette of the V2 with a second color: Storm Green. The new matte green metallic color should enhance the design of the Streetfighter V2 according to Ducati.

Ducati Streetfighter V2 now also in Storm Green

After the launch of the Streetfighter V4 two years ago, we had to wait for a V2 variant to be added – the ‘little’ Streetfighter that could in fact be seen as a successor to the old Streetfighter 1098 (which ironically in was the big brother of the Streetfighter 848 in its day).

Powered by the 955cc Superquadro V-twin that is otherwise only used in the Panigale V2, the Streetfighter V2 is better than the old 1098 Streetfighter in every way. Despite the smaller displacement, the block is stronger than the 1098 V-twin with a rated power of 153 hp at 10,750 rpm and 101 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm.

Not to mention the electronics that were still in their infancy with the 1098 at the time. Just about anything adjustable can be set, from traction control to throttle response, wheelie control, engine brake control and an up/down quickshifter. Whether or not in EVO or EVO2 version. Oh yes… and of course cornering ABS EVO.

And that packed in the same insanely beautiful design as the V4. Even nicer, because the V4’s winglets didn’t enhance the bike’s beauty if you ask us. But that is of course a matter of taste.

The Storm Green color comes next to the red version that was already put on the market at the end of last year. For this, in our humble opinion, very successful color, a little more must be put on the table: 300 euros extra with us in the Netherlands and only 200 euros extra in Belgium: € 19,590 in the Netherlands against € 17,390 in Belgium. Available from July 2022.
