Dutch prices for Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross PHEV

Mitsubishi will bring the facelifted Eclipse Cross as a Plug-in Hybrid to the Netherlands from the spring. Techzle has all the prices of the renewed Japanese. Its starting price is € 37,990.

Mitsubishi carried out a facelift on the Eclipse Cross earlier this year. The Nissan Qashqai competitor presented in 2017 was dealt with quite harshly. The revised Eclipse Cross has a new muzzle and a completely different rear, with the previously connected rear lights separated from each other. The light bar that previously ran the entire width of the rear and cut the rear window into two parts has been relegated to the trash. The Eclipse Cross’s at-point session also brought a plug-in hybrid powertrain to the SUV for the first time. Mitsubishi Netherlands will bring the renewed Eclipse Cross as a Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) to our country from the spring of 2021. Techzle has the prices.

The starting price of the Eclipse Cross PHEV is set at € 37,990. That amount is for the Intense version, which comes standard with 18-inch light metal, a reversing camera and an 8-inch display to which you can connect your smartphone. One step above the Intense is the € 40,990 Intense +, which includes LED headlights, parking sensors, a head-up display, traffic sign recognition and leather upholstery as extras. Isn’t that enough yet? Then go for the temporarily available First Edition. This version, which costs € 41,990, will receive additional extras including Rear Cross Traffic Alert, blind spot warning, adaptive cruise control, a heated steering wheel, rear seat heating and a 230v connection. The top version is the Instyle. It costs € 44,990 and comes as standard with a panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable front seats and an extensive audio system with eight speakers.

Technic

The Eclipse Cross PHEV has a drivetrain that is very similar to the Outlander PHEV. In the nose is the well-known 135 hp and 211 Nm strong 2.4 petrol engine that runs according to the Atkinson cycle. This four-cylinder is linked to two electric motors. The front axle has an 82 hp unit, the rear axle is driven by an electric motor that delivers 95 hp. The four-wheel drive Eclipse Cross PHEV has a 13.8 kWh battery pack in its bottom, good for an electric range of 45 kilometers. Also not unimportant: the maximum towing weight is a usable 1,500 kilos. The top speed is 135 km / h in electric mode.

With the 3.7 kW on-board charger with an AC charger, the battery pack can be fully recharged with electricity in about four hours. A Chademo plug is also available so that you can also plug it into a DC fast charger. The package can be recharged to 80 percent of its capacity in 25 minutes.

Facelift

The Eclipse Cross has not only been overhauled. For example, the luggage compartment has increased by 23 liters to 471 liters thanks to a larger rear overhang. If you throw the back seat flat, you can take up to 1,108 liters of stuff with you. The changes in the interior are less radical. Mitsubishi does give the Eclipse Cross a new infotainment system. The screen now has a diameter of 8 inches. Always nice: the screen is now a lot closer to both the driver and the co-driver and Mitsubishi is adding two physical buttons. The touchpad previously associated with the system will not return. Mitsubishi also promises, among other things, that the electrically adjustable driver’s seat can be adjusted more extensively and that the headrests in the back have been improved. The Japanese also supply the white ‘Diamond’ paint from now on if desired. Finally, potential buyers can look forward to new 18-inch wheels.
