The Renault Zoe Cargo is also coming to the Dutch market, Renault announced today. With the conversion package, the brand wants to offer urban delivery services an alternative to the existing fleet of electric commercial vehicles. Existing Zoe’s can also be converted to a Cargo.
Renault will supply the Zoe Cargo as a conversion package. The conversion is realized at the dealer for € 1,049 excluding VAT. This is possible from the Zen version, which is in the price list for € 35,190. During the conversion, the rear seat and seat belts are removed and a luggage floor and bulkhead with divider are replaced. This is to ensure that the load is not in your neck when braking strongly. The size of the cargo area is one cubic meter, which translates into 1,000 liters. The conversion is fully reversible to prevent an attack on the residual value. On a technical level, nothing changes compared to the regular Zoe. So there is still a 52 kWh battery pack in the ground. The WLTP range is 395 km and it can be charged with a charging speed of 50 kW on the fast charger.
It is quite a surprise that Renault is introducing the Zoe Cargo in the Netherlands. Previously, the English branch of the brand already marketed the Zoe Van, but in England it is much more common for delivery services to drive around with order versions of compact hatchbacks. Still, Renault believes there is a market for the Zoe Cargo in our country. Due to rapidly changing urban mobility, entrepreneurs and companies need a compact and manoeuvrable company car, according to the brand. Another advantage is that the Zoe Cargo, with its total price of less than 40 grand, is eligible for the environmental investment allowance (MIA). With this scheme, 13.5 percent of the purchase price of an electric car can be deducted from the operating profit. This should make it more attractive for companies to become more sustainable. Renault tries to respond to this with the Zoe Cargo.
