After some delays, Audi will be unveiling a completely new electric duo in 2024. Next year, Autoland will introduce the Q6 e-tron and Q6 e-tron Sportback. They are already very visible from all angles.
Audi would initially present the Q6 e-tron and its more dynamic Sportback brother in 2022. That did not work. The electric Q6 e-tron will also not have 2023 as its birth year. What year will be on his birth certificate? 2024. Next year, the duo that is important to Audi will finally hit the market. The manufacturer from Ingolstadt has already shown the Q6 e-tron itself in a sleek sticker sheet and in these fresh spy photos we see the Q6 e-tron and the Q6 e-tron Sportback with more exposed sheet metal than ever before.

The Audi Q6 e-tron and Q6 e-tron Sportback will be a technical brother of the electric Porsche Macan. Under the skin you will soon encounter the PPE platform. They will be the first, but certainly not the last Audis to use the Premium Platform Electric. The brand is also launching an electric equivalent of the current A6 – the A6 e-tron and A6 e-tron Avant – which are based on that basis. The car you now know as A6 will soon be known as A7.
We already know a lot about the electric Q6 duo. This includes a Q6 e-tron 55 with a 100 kWh battery pack and two electric motors with a combined 401 hp. According to the Germans, the Q6 e-tron in that configuration can travel more than 600 kilometers on a full battery. The Q6 e-tron Sportback is undoubtedly the variant with the greatest range, although the two forms of the SUV will not be far apart. There will also be an electric SQ6 e-tron. It also gets a 100-kWh battery pack, although it powers two electric motors boost mode – generating more than 500 hp.

The interior of the Q6 e-tron is no longer a secret, because Audi has already shown it itself. Its luggage space is 529 liters. If you fold the back seat down, you can carry up to 1,529 liters of stuff with you. In the snout there is also a so-called frunk in which you can store 64 liters of small items – or your charging cable.
Do not confuse the Q6 and e-tron with the Q6, which is an SUV that Audi only sells in China. While the Q6 e-tron was developed entirely as an EV, the Q6 without the e-tron addition is actually Audi’s version of the Volkswagen Atlas/Teramont on the MQB platform. There is no electric version of this.
