BMW is expanding its range this year with the fully electric i4. That electric BMW i4 is now extensively depicted. BMW also shares the final specifications of its electric Gran Coupé.
BMW chooses to make its existing models available with different types of powertrains. The brand calls it Power of Choice. An example of this is the iX3, the electric version of the X3. The X3 is also available with petrol and diesel engines and even one with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. BMW is already lifting the i4 on the podium, in fact the electrical translation of the yet to be revealed 4-series Gran Coupé.
The BMW i4 will be on the market this year and if we can believe the figures we are now being presented with, the electric Gran Coupé promises to be quite capable. The i4 will be released in different versions later this year. There is also an M Performance in between. No hardcore M, but a very fast one. The BMW i4 squeezes up to 590 kilometers of range from its unspecified battery pack. The most powerful variant, undoubtedly the announced M Performance version, gets a 530 hp powertrain, enough to help the slick EV to 100 km / h in about 4 seconds. Detailed specifications of the different variants of the i4 will follow within a few weeks.
BMW i4
The appearance of the electric BMW i4 should hardly be called a surprise. Last year around this time, BMW already showed the Concept i4. Anyone who is somewhat familiar with the concept cars from Munich knows that the final production versions rarely deviate significantly from them. The i4 is completely in accordance with the tradition of the electric i-label decorated with blue accents and includes specific bumper work and aerodynamic light metal. Remove the typical i-details and think of an open instead of closed grille and you immediately see how the new BMW 4-series Gran Coupé dries up later this year.

BMW also has more electrical news in the pipeline. For example, the 3-series will get a fully electric i3 next to it and the flagship 7-series will also get an electric brother in the form of the i7.
