i7 eDrive50 is first i7 with rear-wheel drive
BMW brings a new, milder powertrain to the electric version of the 7 Series, the BMW i7. The BMW i7 will soon also be available as an i7 eDrive50, but ‘mild’ is quite relative in this regard.
The electric BMW i7 was already available as an i7 xDrive60 with two electric motors with a total of 544 hp and a 101.7 kWh battery that allows you to enjoy up to 600 kilometers surrounded by electric silence. In April, BMW added a whopping 660 hp and 1,100 Nm strong top version to the delivery range of the electric top sedan in the form of the i7 M70 xDrive and now the brand is expanding the range of the i7 at the bottom.
The BMW i7 will soon also be available as an i7 eDrive60. The BMW i7 eDrive50 is the first i7 without four-wheel drive and therefore has to do with a single electric motor. With this you are certainly not short of power. The BMW i7 eDrive50 is namely 455 hp and 650 Nm strong and is able to sprint from standstill to a speed of 100 km / h in 5.5 seconds. Its top speed: 205 km/h. The BMW i7 eDrive50 is immediately the i7 with the longest range. Depending on the chosen wheel size, you can travel up to 611 kilometers.
Detailed information regarding the i7 eDrive50 and the Dutch market will follow later.
