Citroën and Peugeot are each introducing a new variant of their smallest electric van. Both the Citroën e-Berlingo Van and the Peugeot e-Partner will have a new body style that can accommodate more people.
Anyone looking for an electric but also very practical passenger car can turn to Citroën and Peugeot for the Citroën ë-Berlingo and Peugeot e-Rifter in succession. Its commercial vehicle equivalents – the ë-Berlingo Van and the e-Partner – offer a solution for those in the market for an electric van. The Citroën ë-Berlingo Van and Peugeot e-Partner are already available as a panel van in two lengths, but always offer space for two people. At least, until recently. Not anymore!
Peugeot and Citroën are introducing new so-called Crewcab variants for the e-Partner and ë-Berlingo Van respectively. In the case of the French orderers, they are based on the longer ‘L2’ body styles. With a length of 4.75 meters, they are a lot bigger than the 4.4 meter long L1 variants. Where the L2, like the L1 versions, always only had two front seats in the front, the new Flex Crewcab versions have a second row of seats. You are not in the dark on the second row of seats, because the French brands add extra side windows. At 4 cubic metres, the loading volume of the Flex Crewcab versions is smaller than that of the long versions without a second row of seats. Good news: you can fold the second row of seats. A fence separates the seating row from the luggage compartment.
Both the Peugeot e-Partner Crewcab and the ë-Berlingo Flex Crewcab cost €36,600 excluding VAT and have the well-known 50 kWh battery and the 136 hp powerful electric motor.
