Hyundai is going to join the battle at the bottom of the EV range. With the Hyundai Casper, the Koreans open the attack on the Dacia Spring and Citroën ë-C3 and that seems to be happening this year.

Almost 2.5 years ago, Hyundai presented the mischievous Casper in its home country of South Korea. That little city rascal makes the crossing to our part of the world, only with an electric drivetrain. This has already been confirmed by the CEO of Hyundai France and last week the Casper was spotted testing in northern Sweden. Now something more is coming out.

The electric Hyundai Casper would be built in South Korea side-by-side with its locally available fuel brother. That message Autonews based on information from someone close to the fire. Both production and the first European delivery should take place this year. The official presentation was planned for the third quarter. The combustion engine model is only 3.61 meters long, making it 12 cm shorter than the Dacia Spring and even 40 cm shorter than the Citroën ë-C3. The European variant may differ slightly from this, but it promises to be an electric car. Naturally, this includes a favorable price tag. Considering its intended competitors, count on a starting price of just over 20 grand.
