Electrical expansion

Electric Jaguars and Land Rovers from Slovakia

The Jaguar I-Pace is currently the only electric car that the now JLR-named Jaguar Land Rover offers. A whole range of new EVs will be added in the coming years. One or more of these will be built in Slovakia, JLR announced.

The aging Jaguar I-Pace will no longer have to pull the electric cart at JLR on its own for much longer. By 2030, the brands of the previously called Jaguar Land Rover group will have a combined offering of nine fully electric cars. The factory it has in Halewood, England, will be the first production location where JLR will only build electric cars and EVs will also soon roll off the production line in Solihull. The electric Range Rover, the electric Range Rover Sport and one or more electric Jaguar models will soon be built there. JLR’s production facility in Nitra, Slovakia, will also soon produce electric models.

JLR announced this today in the month that the production facility in Nitra has existed for five years. The Land Rover Defender and the Discovery are currently seeing the light of day there. Which electric models will soon be built in Slovakia will be announced later.
