Lancia is only a shadow of what it once was. Don’t worry, in the future plans of Stellantis there is a place for reviving the brand, there will even be a new and probably electric Lancia Delta. You still have to wait a few years for a really new and electric Delta, but there is a solution for those who can’t wait.

The Lancia Delta returns, but for those who can’t wait or simply fear what Stellantis will make of a new Delta, the French GCK Exclusiv-e offers a solution. The company is introducing a fully electric Delta: the Delta-e. The Delta-e is, as its appearance already reveals, not a completely new model. It is a so-called restomod, a classic that, in addition to being refurbished to perfection, is also laced with new techniques.

GCK Exclusive’s Delta-e is a Delta HF Integrale from which the blown 2.0 four-cylinder has been removed to make way for an electric powertrain. That powertrain consists of a relatively modest 200 hp and 350 Nm strong electric motor and – yes – a manual gearbox with five gears. This is a modified and, above all, reinforced version of the standard copy.

The Delta-e must be able to sprint to a speed of 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds. Ventilated discs at the front and regular copies at the back should be able to calm the electric Lancia Delta properly again. In order not to increase the weight too much, GCK Exclusive does not provide the Delta-e with a 90 kWh battery, but a modest 29 kWh large one with which a range of up to 200 kilometers should be feasible.

According to its creators, the Delta-e has been modified on 263 points. The car features a new hood, modified bumper work and carbon fiber aerodynamic extras including a rear spoiler. Furthermore, the dampers have been adapted to the higher weight of the car and the subframe has been reinforced. In the exuberant interior, which is filled with Alcantara, GCK Exclusive installs sports seats from Recaro, a new rear seat and a Momo steering wheel.

The French will build 47 copies of the Lancia Delta Evo-e, 11 of which will have a special Rallye trim. That Rallye version wears a livery that nods to the Martini garb of the Integrale Evos of yesteryear and is handed over by none other than Didier Auriol, former rally driver who – you guessed it – has blown rally Deltas around.
