Electric Lordstown Endurance finally in production

Lordstown has started production of its electric pickup called Endurance. This seems to put an end to the long period of uncertainty surrounding the new brand, although the brand new producer will remain highly dependent on the supply of parts for the time being.

Almost three years after the unveiling of the first sketch of the Lordstown Endurance, an American-made electric pickup, the brand has started production. Lordstown has screwed together the first two units as part of an initial batch of 500 units, with the brand hoping to have the last one off the line before summer 2023.

This year, the first 50 copies must early adopters of the brand, although Edward Hightower, CEO of the brand, questions the certainty of this. Although Lordstown now has a production facility and the finances to actually produce it, the availability of parts worries him. The actual size of the provisional production is highly dependent on it. Nevertheless, Hightower expects to be able to upgrade the production speed from next month.
