The cheapest and the fastest

Electric Maserati GranTurismo Folgore is the least expensive GranTurismo

The new Maserati GranTurismo is also available as an EV for the first time. Special for a Maserati and special for a car in this segment, and the Maserati GranTurismo Folgore now has a price. Good news: the Folgore is the least expensive Maserati GranTurismo you can buy in the Netherlands.

Since the beginning of this year we know that the Maserati GranTurismo is available from €226,911. We also know that you have to leave €271,576 for the more powerful Modena version with the V6, but Maserati still kept the price of the electric variant under wraps. Now we know more: the fully electric Maserati GranTurismo Folgore costs at least €198,350. Less than two tons, and the cheapest GranTurismo you can buy in the Netherlands. Moreover, you get a lot more power for less money: the EV produces 750 hp and goes from 0 to 100 in 2.7 seconds, while the Modena’s values are 490 hp and 3.9 seconds.

The price does come with caveats, because there are options and accessories that you really cannot ignore. Anyone who clicks on the Folgore is immediately presented with a car costing €201,109, thanks to a charging cable (!) and a ‘DC Booster’. The DC Booster ensures that when you charge at a 400V DC charger, the voltage of 400V is converted to the 800V that the car needs for charging. You can omit these options, but no one will. The color has a greater effect on the price: the Folgore is white as standard, for black or gray you pay almost 5 grand extra and if you want a real color, you will pay €18,000 to even €32,000. That’s going fast, even in the world of exclusive super GTs.

Speaking of exclusive: AutoWeek was able to go out early with the Maserati GranTurismo, including the Folgore. Feel free to watch the accompanying video again!
