Mercedes-Benz has renewed most of its compact models in a relatively short time, but the GLB and EQB still need to be updated. We can now show you the facelifted electric EQB, as well as its more conventional motorized GLB sister model.

The GLB is one of the most versatile models from Mercedes-Benz. The model was presented in 2019 and is not only available with regular petrol and diesel engines, but also as a sporty 35 AMG version with a 306 hp powertrain. In addition, the practical crossover is available with five or seven seats and there is even a fully electric sister model in the form of the EQB that is also available with various powertrains and with five or seven seats. The electric EQB followed about two years after the GLB, but will probably be facelifted at the same time as the GLB. Mercedes-Benz recently put the A and B class on the cutting table and the CLA and CLA Shooting Brake have also been refreshed. You guessed it: the GLB and EQB and the GLA and EQA are next! In these photos we have the updated GLB and EQB.

You don’t seem to have to count on heavy optical adjustments, which means that the facelift that Mercedes-Benz has in store for the GLB and electric EQB is neatly in line with that of the other models on the basic front-wheel drive MFA2 platform. This means that the front and rear lights are subtly updated and minor changes are made to the grille and bumpers. In addition, the two will probably receive the latest version of the MBUX multimedia system, which means that the cars say goodbye to the touchpad. All petrol versions of the GLB will soon be equipped with mild hybrid technology and Mercedes-Benz may also be able to fine-tune the powertrains of the electric EQB.
