Appearance
The new electric Mini Cooper is available in various exterior flavors. It is available as a simple Essential, a more richly decorated Classic and a Favored. There is now a sporty version: the John Cooper Works Trim. The Mini does not get any extra power, because we are not talking about a full-fledged JCW version here.
The most powerful electric Mini Cooper remains the 218 hp and 330 Nm strong Mini Cooper SE for the time being. This variant can now be dressed up in a sportier John Cooper Works Trim. The Mini Cooper SE – with a 54.2 kWh battery and a range of 402 kilometers – has John Cooper Works Trim decorations, including 18-inch ten-spoke wheels, red JCW brake calipers, stripes on the front lid and, among other things, in the muzzle cup you will see a finish flag.
More striking things are the modified bumper work. The Mini Cooper in JCW Trim has sportier-looking bumpers at both the front and the rear and we even notice a rear spoiler at the top of the rear window. The ‘grille’ and the Mini badges are finished in black. We also notice a colorful collection of red accents in the JCW Trim flavor. For example, the roof and side mirror caps are finished in Chili Red.
In the interior, Mini screws artificial leather-covered seats with red stitching and a knitted material for the shoulder area. You will also find knitted material in the door panels and on the dashboard in a combination of black and red.
The Mini Cooper SE is available in JCW Trim from €47,640. The electric Cooper SE has a starting price of €38,990 in Essential trim. The less powerful Cooper E is available in JCW Trim from €44,790 and costs €35,990 as Essential.
