Mini Countryman

Mini will launch a large number of new models on the autoland in the near future. One of these is the brand new Countryman, which also comes in an electric version. To emphasize that the Mini Countryman also stands its ground off the asphalt, Mini sends it into the Scottish Highlands. Luckily there are pictures of that. After all, we rarely or never expect to see the car in action in this way.

Mini will soon introduce the Cooper, which will succeed the brand’s current three- and five-door hatchbacks, and will launch the all-electric Aceman in 2025. The Mini Aceman will be a crossover that will be one step below the Countryman, but the Countryman will not be forgotten either. In fact, the Mini Countryman will be completely renewed this year and that car will also be available with fully electric powertrains in addition to combustion engines. An extensive set of photos shows the new Countryman in action in the Scottish Highlands, wading through streams and stomping along sandy tracks.

The Mini Countryman in the photos is still quite fanatically covered with camouflage stickers, but those stickers are actually no longer necessary. As early as April this year, we were able to show you a completely concealed sticker from all angles. Once again it is clear that the new Countryman grows a considerable size compared to the current model. With its length of 4.32 meters, it will be about 12 centimeters longer than the current model. Why? Among other things to create distance to justify the arrival of the smaller Aceman.

Like the new three-door version of the new Mini Cooper, the new Countryman will be available with both combustion engines and electric motors. The five-door hatchback will not get any electric powertrains for the time being. As a Mini Countryman E, the Countryman gets a 190 hp electric motor on the front axle, while the four-wheel drive Countryman SE All4 kicks it up to 272 hp thanks to the addition of an electric motor on the rear axle. Both power sources will soon have a battery pack of roughly 64 kWh. The front-wheel drive variant must squeeze a WLTP range of 440 kilometers from that battery – which is also in the BMW iX1. With the SE All4 you have to settle for 420 kilometers.
