Focus on interior space

The Peugeot 3008 and the electric e-3008 will receive a brand new generation of the 5008 this year. There will also be an electric e-5008 and it is that electric SUV that we can now show you in test suit for the first time.
During its generational change, the Peugeot 3008 underwent a thorough metamorphosis, both in appearance and technically. The Peugeot 3008 changed platforms, in addition to combustion engines and hybrid drivetrains, it is also available for the first time as an electric e-3008 and the SUV exchanged its body for one with a strikingly sloping roofline. Peugeot’s SUV family is of course not complete without the 5008 and so a completely new generation is also in the pipeline. It will come soon, but before its unveiling it can already be seen in a tight-fitting sticker pack.

The Peugeot 5008 as you know it now.
Just like the 3008, the 5008 is also undergoing a major overhaul during its generational change, but mainly on a technical level. In terms of basic shape, the new Peugeot 5008 remains more faithful to its predecessor than the 3008. This means that the new Peugeot 5008 also ‘simply’ has an SUV shape, complete with a roofline that extends far to the rear and a straight sloping buttock. Of course, that is not easy: just like the previous 5008, the new one will most likely be available – optionally – with a third row of seats at the back. This also makes the new 5008 and the electric Peugeot e-5008 a five- and a seven-seater.
In terms of overall design style and technology, the new 5008 and e-5008 are very close to the sleeker 3008 equivalents. Under the body is the STLA Medium platform and in terms of engines, not only mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions, but also electric versions. Bet on the arrival of a 210 hp version with front-wheel drive and a 73 kWh battery and on the arrival of a four-wheel drive version with two combined 320 hp electric motors. There is also a Long Range variant with a 98 kWh battery from which the Peugeot e-3008 can squeeze out up to 700 kilometers. Moreover, the four-wheel drive e-3008s as well as the Long Range version and the plug-in hybrid 3008 have yet to end up on the Dutch price list.
The new Peugeot 5008 and e-5008 will be presented at the end of March. More later!
