Renault Scenic E-Tech Electric

The Espace is no longer an MPV-like car and the new Renault Scénic also leaves the concept of the practical space car behind. In September we will be introduced to the completely new and always electric Renault Scénic E-Tech, a car that can already be seen very well.

In mid-2022, Renault presented an interesting preview of the successor to the Scénic with the Scénic Vision. The Scénic, which will replace the well-known MPVs, will be a completely different model. Not least because of its powertrain. The new Renault Sénic will be a fully electric model, but in addition – just like the Espace – it is no longer an MPV at all.

The new Scénic E-Tech is clearly the production version of this study model.

The successor to the Scénic is called Renault Scénic E-Tech Electric and will be presented in production form during the IAA in September in Munich. Last year’s Scénic Vision already made it clear that the car is being drawn according to a completely new design language, which you can already see on the Rafale and the facelifted Clio. In terms of design, it will therefore look less like the Mégane E-Tech than you might think. It is clear that much of the conceptual predecessor of the new Scénic remains intact. The car gets flat headlights with vertical LED elements underneath that act as LED daytime running lights. You can already see something similar on the aforementioned renewed Clio. At the rear, sleek, hook-shaped taillights are given a place, part of which dives into the boot lid.

The Renault Scénic E-Tech Electric will be placed on Renault’s CMF-EV platform. Where the Mégane E-Tech competes against cars like the Volkswagen ID3, the Scénic E-Tech Electric seems to have to cross swords with cars like the Volkswagen ID4, Toyota bZ4X and Tesla Model Y. So a busy segment.
