There is no adjustment from postponement
Volvo presented the electric EX90 in 2022, but the model has still not been delivered due to delays behind the scenes. AutoWeek can now tell you that the first copies of the Volvo EX90 will come to the Netherlands from September.
The Volvo EX90 made its debut in November 2022, but Volvo’s electric flagship is nowhere to be seen on the road. Mid last year it was revealed that the start of production of the EX90 had been postponed. The Dutch importer indicated at the time that the first copies should still be delivered in the first half of 2024. That doesn’t seem to be happening either, but they are still coming our way this year.
The Dutch Volvo importer says in a response to AutoWeek that it expects Volvo dealers to be able to deliver the first copies of the EX90 to customers from September. So that is almost two years after the electric SUV was presented. Volvo needed more time to test and verify the obviously quite extensive and complex software with which the Volvo EX90 is packed.
The Volvo EX90 can be ordered from €83,495. That amount is for the version with a 279 hp electric motor and a range of 580 kilometers. For the 408 hp powerful four-wheel drive Twin Motor with a range of 585 kilometers you will spend at least €88,995. The most powerful and fastest EX90 – the Twin Motor Performance – costs at least €98,495. You get 517 electric horses in return.
