Volvo XC40 Recharge Twin Electric
Volvo is introducing a new entry-level model of the Volvo XC40 Recharge Electric, which is front-wheel drive and therefore more affordable is.
Volvo introduces the XC40 Recharge Pure Electric. Compared to its brothers XC40 Recharge twin Pure Electric, this new entry-level model is equipped with only one electric motor. This drives the front wheels of the XC40. This makes the electric SUV more affordable than the All-Wheel Drive ‘Twin’ version (shown in this article): you can buy it from 45,995 euros. The tax value – for business drivers – is 44,870 euros.
What makes the new electric car attractive to many drivers is that it can tow a trailer of up to 1,500 kg
The Recharge Pure Electric gets 231 hp power. The electric motor is powered from a 70 kWh battery pack. Volvo expects the WLTP range to be approximately 400 km, which is almost equal to that of the (All-Wheel Drive) Twin Electric XC40. The driving qualities of the entry-level model would also increase because the SUV with one engine is 150 kg lighter in weight. What makes the new electric car attractive to many drivers is that it can tow a trailer of up to 1,500 kg.
In addition to standard equipment, the XC40 comes with a 4-year Google infotainment subscription. Services such as Google Maps, Play Store and Assistant are integrated into it. The Car Package, with a 3-year warranty, service and breakdown assistance, is also standard. The XC40 Recharge Electric is, in addition to the entry-level version Pure, also available in the better equipped versions Plus (from 47,995 euros) and Pro (51,995 euros).
