Multiple special
Lamborghini comes with a raised Huracán ‘cross’. That will be a special model for various reasons, including because it is the last Lamborghini without electric power.
Lamborghini finally confirms the arrival of a Huracán that stands higher on its legs than the already known and especially close to the asphalt copies. That that version is coming is actually no surprise. In 2019, Lamborghini already presented the Huracán Sterrato Concept, a raised Huracán with, among other things, skid plates, off-road tires and wheel arch extensions. Packed prototypes of the production version have been spotted several times, but now Lamborghini actually confirms that there will be an ‘all-terrain’ Huracán.
Lamborghini presents that low yet slightly high off-road brother of the Urus at the end of this year during Art Basel in Miami. That tall Huracán – whose definitive model name is not yet known – will be a special car for more than its appearance. It is in fact the last model of Lamborghini that gets a combustion engine that is not assisted by any form of electrical power. Behind the front seats is just another mighty V10.
Lamborghini already said goodbye to both the Aventador and the V12 without electric assistance with the Aventador Ultimae. In 2023, Lamborghini will launch its first relatively large series model with a hybrid powertrain. However, that will not be the first hybrid Lamborghini, since the Italians already presented a car with hybrid power with the Sían FKP 37. Only 82 of the ‘open’ and ‘closed’ Sían were built. From 2024, the entire Lambo range must be electrified, which means that the Urus will also have electrical support. So count on the successors of the Huracán and Aventador getting a hybrid powertrain.
