The American car market will soon have another new brand richer: T-Go. It will be a brand that will trade existing cars from the Chinese manufacturer Chery.
HAAH Automotive Holdings is an American company engaged in, among other things, setting up and rolling out sales networks for European and other non-American brands. Under the brand name Vantas, ‘premium SUVs’ from the Chinese Chery will soon be sold, cars that Chery itself sells under the Exeed brand. Initially, HAAH Automotive would also bring the Chinese brand Zotye to the United States, but that introduction party has been postponed for the time being. HAAH Automotive is now still developing a second brand: T-Go.
Just like Vantas, T-Go is a name that HAAH Automotive has come up with to bring existing Chinese products to the American man. Another similarity with Vantas: the T-Go cars are also existing models from manufacturer Chery. The name T-Go is undoubtedly a corruption of the model name Tiggo that Chery uses. Chery has a number of Tiggos on the market in South America, but in China the offer is really gigantic. The manufacturer sells the Tiggo 2, Tiggo 3, the New Tiggo 4 in addition to the old Tiggo 4, the Tiggo 5, the Tiggo 7, the Tiggo 7 Pro and the Tiggo 8. All of them are SUVs or crossovers, and Chery thus has a gigantic high-legged offer.
HAAH Automotive will not import the Chery products ready-made. The company will import Chery models that are on the T1X platform in parts. The cars are assembled in the United States together with American parts. The first model that T-Go brings to the US market will be ‘a compact SUV’. The company says it will add at least two more models to its delivery range by 2024.
