Eufy wants to fulfill the Pro in the new security camera EufyCam S3 Pro thanks to MaxColor Vision and 4K resolution. With MaxColor Vision color night vision technology, night should turn into day; Even in complete darkness, users can see all colors in great detail, even without LED light. And thanks to the 4K resolution, the camera should offer very clear image quality.
On September 27, Eufy showed PC-Active their latest innovation: the EufyCam S3 Pro, the successor to the popular EufyCam S3. Pro has been added, because now with MaxColor Vision color technology the night vision must change into daylight colors. Even in pitch darkness you can see all colors in great detail (even without LED light). PC-Active received a standard bundle with two S3 Pro cameras, a HomeBase 3 (S380) and an extra XL solar panel for testing, which you can read more about soon on pcactive.nl.
Striking camera
The technical specifications of the EufyCam S3 Pro leave nothing to be desired: it has a 1/1.8 inch CMOS sensor, an aperture of F1.0 and is equipped with an AI-controlled image signal processor (ISP). This combination should ensure that at night, without an additional light source, you see images that appear to have been recorded during the day. As an example, the image below (from Anker) was taken at 00:56 without any additional editing. In addition to the data protection zones set in the app to protect the privacy of neighbors, the license plates for this example have been obscured for privacy reasons. This type of recording does not even require a spotlight, which can be an advantage in the event of a security incident and to catch perpetrators red-handed.

The dual sensor system also plays an important role: radar technology and passive infrared (PIR) use an advanced algorithm that detects human movements with precision and reduces false alarms by up to 99%. Thanks to the high 4K resolution and an eightfold zoom, the smallest details such as license plates are easily recognized from up to twelve meters away.
Two-way audio and efficient solar panel for self-sufficiency
With the Eufycam S3 Pro you can have a conversation with the children, partner or uninvited guests: the S3 Pro captures voices up to eight meters thanks to the advanced dual microphone system, so two-way audio. It also uses AI to block out distracting background noise. Users can automatically activate voice alerts and a 105 decibel alarm to deter unwanted guests. The EufyCam S3 Pro works 365 days a year without an additional power source thanks to the integrated solar panel. The daily needs are covered with just one hour of sunlight per day. During longer periods of cloud cover, the 13,000 milliampere-hour battery always has sufficient reserves, as does the optional XL solar panel that is included as an addition. Alternatively, the S3 Pro can also be permanently powered via the USB-C port for continuous 24/7 monitoring.
IStore internally at no cost
Like several products in the existing Eufy ecosystem, the EufyCam S3 Pro fits well with the Eufy HomeBase 3 (S380), which is available as standard in a bundle with the smart station. Here, users store their recordings securely and locally, on the 16 GB internal memory, at a monthly or annual cost. A cloud connection is optionally available at an additional cost. Users who want to store more recordings can expand this up to 16 TB with a 2.5-inch hard drive or SSD. When users sync the EufyCam S3 Pro and Eufy HomeBase 3 (S380) duo, they can harness the concentrated power of BionicMind AI. Family members and friends are recognized, which significantly reduces the number of unnecessary notifications.
