Extra centimeters for BMW 3 Series

BMW has pulled the curtain on the 3-series Gran Limousine. A performance that, as its name suggests, is longer than usual. To get straight to the point: it is not meant for us.

The BMW 3-series Gran Limousine was created especially for the Indian market. It is reminiscent of the 3 Series Li, which they already know in China and in fact follows the same recipe. As with that ‘Li’, the Gran Limousine is an extra-long version of the 3-series, luxuriously executed enough to put many versions of the 5-series in the shade. In terms of length, it still leaves it compared to its big brother. The wheelbase has increased by no less than 11 centimeters and the total length is now just under 4.82 m, making it about 14 centimeters shorter than the standard 5-series.

If the rear legroom increased by up to 43 cm doesn’t make it even more comfortable in the Gran Limousine, the standard features will take care of it. For example, in the standard Gran Limousine in the rear, designed as a ‘Luxury Line’, we see, among other things, the climate control and two USB ports for the passengers in the back. The interior, fully upholstered in Vernasca leather, is also provided with exuberant mood lighting and the Gran Limousine has a decent panoramic roof, which can be opened halfway. Additional chrome inserts in the bumpers stand out as details that should give the 3-series some more allure.
